Urban Oak Presents
Film Premier : Blind Love
Sunday February 14, 2010 at 8:00 am & 10:15 am
Based on the poem ‘Fear Frontier,’ written by Mongezi Mngqibisa, Blind Love is a short film that was written, directed & produced by our very own group of young people in Urban Oak. This film is all about love. Love can be blind, yet it keeps us captivated in situations that may not always be good for us. The lead character Mary, played by Gabby Jacobs, is a young teenager trapped in a difficult relationship. Her distorted relationship effects many others around her. Follow her story and find out why she is in this relationship, what keeps her in this relationship, what makes it hard for her to leave, and how she finally finds TRUE LOVE. A kind of love that only an all-knowing, unconditionally loving father God can give.
This movie premiers at the Rhema RAC on the 14th of February 2010. Make sure that you come dressed up! The best dressed couple will receive an amazing prize!

16 -17 “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again…”
It’s safe to say that each one us has a different definition of love. Our understanding of love comes from our own personal experiences, relationships with others and our own concepts of what makes up love. Yet, I would like to take a minute and brag about God’s love for you. He gave His one and only Son! I don’t know many parents who are willing to do that and all so that everyone can have life!
His love for us is effortless. It is limitless, keeping no record of wrong and extending beyond race, color, class or status. There is nothing you could possibly do or say that would cause Him to stop loving you. His love is completely unconditional.
In that love you are able to be free and be yourself. In that type of love, you are able to make mistakes and get back up. In that love you are able find rest and assurance that He will always have you back. In that love you are able to trust the one who will never disappoint you…quite an amazing place to be! So sit back and relax in that love!
My prayer to Him is that He would :::
Teach us how to love how He loves,
Never becoming complacent,
Always embracing,
Extending of ourselves,
Forgiving all others,
Reaching beyond boundaries,
Listening closely,
Giving purely,
Love…

The proverb “true love is blind” is based on the popular quote of William Shakespeare “Love is blind”. Love is blind represent the first phase in “the Love process” when people fall in love and they see the one they love like they want to see them.
What is love? I can only tell you what the bible says love is. That is God himself, in 1John 4:8,16 it says God is love. It only goes to say that love is the greatest gift that God gives because it is God himself that is given.
What do you say?
