Deeper

March 15th, 2010 | By Kelsy

Diving into the deep with God begins with trusting God. Yet how do you trust a God you don’t know? Going deeper in God requires you to nourish your relationship with Him, just like you would with your earthly relationships. Finding out who He is, what makes Him happy, what pleases Him, what makes His heart sore, what He desires for you, etc…

And it’s not that hard! He is easy to please….just be YOU! If you realized that when He created you, He made no mistakes, you would then understand that He is pleased with you being you! Just dive in deeper into the essence of who He is, LOVE!

Sometimes we as Christians are afraid of trusting God. So we do enough good but don’t dare touch the deep things of God and do just enough to ease our conscience but never touch the surface of what really living like Christ is all about. I really believe that God is calling us to deeper things, issues that shake our faith and at times, it is hard. It’s difficult because you have to surrender everything, which can be one of the scariest and hardest things to do….it leaves you completely vulnerable and having to trust a God who can be unpredictable and at times a lil crazy :) but that is the very thing that is so liberating… that is when you really begin to live a fulfilled life (Matt.6:33)….

I am certainly not perfect. The more I learn about Him and what it means to really be a Christian, the more I find out how complicated I have made it. There are many days I get it wrong, many days I can’t bear and trusting seems hard, but I just dive deep into who He is by working on my relationship with Him through prayer, worship, and serving. …there I find a deeper place of rest, satisfaction, peace, hope, trust, confidence, grace, fulfillment, and LOVE…

James 4:8 (New Living Translation)

8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you….”

Luke 11:9-10 (The Message)

9“Here’s what I’m saying:  Ask and you’ll get; Seek and you’ll find; Knock and the door will open.”

I wanna go deeper

March 13th, 2010 | By Kelsy

The theme for the month of March is DEEPER….

What does it mean to you? Deeper relationship with God? Deep understanding of His love and grace? How can  you dive deeper into His love for you and your love for Him?
